Musicians and performers in London will soon be required by law to complete and hand over to police an eight page form detailing all their personal information and the ethnic background of their audience if they want to perform.

"In a purported effort to identify counterfeiters, the US government has succeeded in persuading some color laser printer manufacturers to encode each page with identifying information. That means that without your knowledge or consent, an act you assume is private could become public. A communication tool you're using in everyday life could become a tool for government surveillance."

David Davis resigns over 42 days

David Davis resigned from parliament saying that people of the country lose their freedom and privacy through laws, CCTV, IDcards, ...It was caused by a new law that can keep people under arrest without evidence for 42 days.

It's causing a big debate in the UK, on privacy, freedom, civil rights... but he also seems to get a lot of critique in terms of "mistrusting the state".
