"Winning today... is merely not losing sight of yourself." - Paul Virilio

Winning... takes a glimpse into the high life of a media starlet caught in the dream machine. Her daily routine is rewound and replicated over and over as she fast-forwards through a world where losing focus could mean losing everything. When cause and effect seem to merge she struggles to remain herself. Who or what is triggering whom? How necessary is it to regain control? And will her favourite stylist be able to squeeze her in at the last minute?

Winning... explores a triangular relationship between movement, sound and image - a constant process of exchange, feedback and continuous looping. The performance combines dance with live electronic music. Vocals and visuals are controlled through the use of sensors attached to the body, controlling sound and video processing software. This configuration increases freedom of movement while allowing sampling, modulation and reconstruction of information in real time.
